Judgment and the Strength of Words

I can't really decide which side of the argument that i am on. I don't necessarily have an opinion on either side of this argument. but i do still have a couple of points that i hope to get across to you.

First off words are just words they aren't physically going to come and attack you. If you think that they will then you are wrong and at my best recommendation should go see a doctor or therapist. Since they are just words you get to choose just how much offense or joy you take from those words. Be yourself, but still heed the words of people wiser then you.

Second just because the words said to you maybe doesn't affect you directly that doesn't mean that it won't affect someone in a way that is bad. Every person is different, and without different types of people society would not function the way it does today. Some people aspire to be Doctors when they grow up and maybe others want to be a teacher. Without either one of those people there is no way we would be the way we are now.

Thirdly: words kill. I would say that about 99% of all wars are started by words. Either written or said they both can kill. The Cold War was started AND ended by words not conflict alone as is all other wars. Just because one side loses the most people doesn't mean that they lost the argument. Words are not to be taken lightly.

So over all words can be used as a tool for peace and love, or to fuel hatred and malice. Words are not to be taken lightly, but still have fun in your life, but not at anothers expense.

Judgment and the Strength of Words draft

Judgment and the Strength of words

By Taten Evans B3

I can’t really decide which side of the argument that I am on. I don’t necessarily have an opinion on either side of this argument. But I do still have a couple points I could hopefully get across.

First off words are just words (or letters are just letters) they aren’t physically going to come and attack you. If you think that they will then you are wrong and… should probably go see a doctor. You can either choose to take offense from the worlds said to you, or you can just keep being you. Though sometimes it is better to listen to the words and stop what you are doing. I have seen many cases where a person starts to feel better about his or herself because of words said to the person… but sadly I have also seen it make people feel bad about themselves, but it is still for you to choose one way or another.

Second just because don’t affect you doesn’t mean that they don’t affect others. If someone says something to you that could be considered offensive but you don’t take it that way. It doesn’t give you the right to go say it to someone else. Every person is different. That is what makes our society today run the way it does. Some people grow up to be a world class Doctor; others grow up to be… lets say a Garbage Man. Without either one of those people, society would not run as smoothly as it does. So everybody is different and should be treated the way they would like to be treated.

Last but not least: words kill. I would say that about 99.999999999999999999999…99% of wars are started by words. Either written or said. The Cold War was started AND ended by words. No real conflict ever happened. World War 1 and 2 were both started in some way by wars. If people would just start to think about what their words may do to some people we would live in a much more peaceful world. Words are not to be taken lightly.

So over all words can be used as a tool for peace and love, but can also be used to fuel hatred and malice. Words are not to be taken lightly, but at the same time do take some words lightly. Or else you won’t have the life that you could.

Technology

I think that technology can help every teacher and school. Teaching kids how to use technology will help them throughout their entire life. Some kids will say " am going to be in the army so i won't need to know how to use a computer or any of that stuff", but they couldn't have been more wrong. You will use all of that knowledge throughout your whole life.

I think that here in Utah we are a little behind on technology, because if someone comes out with something new in technology they aren't going to say "lets go sell my new product to the people of Utah!" They will probably sell it somewhere like New York or somewhere like that were they could get a lot more business then here in Utah.

Teachers you get along with

I have had many great teachers, and not very many bad ones. Some teachers you can have a somewhat of a good relationship with but still not do good in their class. Some teachers get along with most students, but some teachers have a hard time seeing their students point of view so most students don't like them or do not get along with them. But almost all teachers get along with someone, somewhere.

With High School if you don't really like a teacher you are fine, because there are plenty of other teachers. But in Elementary School if you don't like the teacher or don't get along with them you are going to have a problem, because they are the only teacher that you have. If your child does not like to go to school then ask them if they get along with the teacher, because that can ruin their whole school experience.

Honesty

Honesty should be very important to everybody and everybody should be honest. If everybody would be honest in the world, it would be a lot safer and people wouldn't fight and steal as much. I think that kindness and honesty are about the same thing.

Kindness is something that you couldn't have without honesty. You can't lie to people and say you are nice to them. One time my brother skipped school, but didn't tell my mom. My mom got a call from his school and she didn't know what happened so she checked the school's website and it said he missed all of school that day. He got in big trouble for it.

It's the end of the world as we know it

The one thing that i would grab is chocolate milk. Almost everybody loves chocolate milk. Chocolate milk is full of calcium and calories. I would definitely share with my family, but i would probably end up drinking it all though. I got to have my chocolate milk!

I would save it for a little bit, but not for to l0ng. It wouldn't last for very long with the power out, so we would drink it in a couple of days or so. I only have one brother and my mom and dad, so it would last quite awhile. It would definitely be a satisfying last drink. Almost nothing is better then chocolate milk.
